Entering our home and having a newly styled entryway is not something I thought we really needed. But when I started adding some simple pieces (some new and some already on hand), the space started to feel so much more welcoming. I recently shared our Entryway Reveal, and today I’m sharing all the sources..
I’m so excited to finally share with you our entryway. Stepping through our front door, I never thought the space was top priority, or needed much attention at all. I knew I wanted a console table, but wasn’t sure how it would fit with our floor to ceiling side light windows. But once I added the table, and began styling it, I absolutely loved it! By adding just a few simple pieces, our home feels so much more inviting.
My favorite addition to our entryway is the rug. It makes a world of a difference having a rug that fits so perfectly. I’ll share all the sources in the next few days, so check back soon!
Whew! We made it through the polar vortex and the month of January! I am so happy that today is February 1st.. it just means we are a little closer to spring + celebrating the month of LOVE. I typically don’t like to decorate for every holiday.. it always seems to look cluttered, and just more things I have to find storage for. But, I love adding splashes of pink + red for Valentine’s Day. It brings a fresh spring-like feel. And lets face it.. we sure love the color pink around here, so the majority of the things don’t have to even be packed away for next season. Here are a few of the pieces I’m adding to our home this year..
A few months ago, I shared Capri’s Bedroom Design Board with her idea of a ‘Ballerina Bedroom’ theme. I had so much fun searching for all the tiny details, and my absolute favorite is the gallery wall that we created. It really is the prettiest wall in our home, and Capri adores it all! She is definitely our tutu wearing, all things sparkly + shimmery kind of girl.. and I LOVE that! It is definitely a stage that I cherish, and want to hold onto for as long as I can.
We all just love this space, and are so happy with how all the pretty details came together for our little ballerina. I’ll share all the sources next week, so check back soon!
Last week, I was so excited to finally shared with you, Chloe’s ‘Fairy Garden’ Bedroom Reveal. I had a lot of fun designing this space for my girl, and love how much she loves it! Here are all the details + sources..
headboard | quilt | sheet set | lumbar pillow | faux fur throw pillow | velvet curtain panels | wall decor | rattan chair | seagrass basket | accent table | fairy book | table lamp | chandelier | dresser | medallion knobs | mirror | decorative globe | misc. fairy decor
Hello! And HAPPY Summer! I know it’s been a while since I blogged, but I finally have a capsule of photos to share many new blog posts and room reveals.. yay!
Today, I am so excited to share all the beautiful details of Chloe’s Bedroom! You may remember my Design Board that I created many months ago, but it took quite some time to finally bring it all together. This room far exceeded my love for a neutral color palette, but I absolutely LOVE the bright colors + vibrant details so much! Chloe loves her bedroom, and I love walking into such cheerful + whimsical space.. something that definitely matches her personality.
I love that I was able to bring her idea of a ‘Fairy Garden’ Bedroom to life, and incorporate some of the pieces she’s been collecting. I’ll share all the sources to the room next week, so stayed tuned!
HAPPY Spring! The weather is FINALLY starting to feel like springtime, and we’ve had a burst of motivation to work on some house projects. We had a successful + busy weekend rearranging our bedrooms. Do you remember when I shared Chloe’s Bedroom Design Board? Well, we finally have it all together, and I can’t wait to share it.. it is soooo beautiful!
Capri turned three in December, and my plan was to create a woodland theme in her new big girl bedroom. Remember this ADORABLE post I shared on the teepee in her room? It was my inspiration. Buuuuut, this ‘threenager’ had other ideas for her bedroom. She was very persistent that she wanted a Ballerina Bedroom. Capri is all about tutus, jewelry and all things sparkly! So I created a design board to fit her requests, and LOVE how it turned out.
I don’t think I’ve ever been more ready for Spring to arrive! We’ve had a rough winter filled with an obnoxious amount of sicknesses, and I am sooooooo excited for the warm sunshine, green grass and getting back outside (..because I absolutely HATE the cold)! I haven’t done much with our home, but when I saw that Anthropologie Home is now available at Nordstrom, I just had to start shopping. I think a touch of color is exactly what (we) and our home needs! Here are a few of my favorites..
After a busy and exciting holiday season (including our Holiday Home Tour), I am ready to start on some fun new projects in our home. One of my favorite spaces to design + decorate for are my girls. My oldest, Chloe, is turning seven years old in March.. how is that even possible?! I want her bedroom to be a fun + colorful space! I also want the room to grow with her. Nothing too juvenile, but also nothing too grown up either.
All throughout our building process, Chloe always told us that she wanted a fairy garden bedroom. She is SO excited to create a fairy garden outside her bedroom window this summer, and has been collecting the most adorable pieces for it. Have you seen the selection at Michaels?! It’s the CUTEST! I’m excited to incorporate the inspiration into her bedroom, and found some really great pieces that I think are vibrant + whimsical.. just like a fairy garden! I can’t wait to put it all together and surprise my girl!
I am so thrilled to share my Holiday Home Tour, in collaboration with West Elm. While I was so excited to finally have a space to decorate for the holidays (it’s been two years!), I was a little lost on where to begin. I knew that I wanted to find pieces that I would not only have this year, but years to come. I worked closely with my local West Elm store (West Elm Milwaukee), and their amazing Interior Stylist, Erin, on creating a space that accented the style of our home. She first came to view the space, then staged everything in store for me to come review.. and I absolutely LOVED what she had created! She then brought everything to my home and set it all up for me. It’s so beautiful, and I know we will display these pieces each and every holiday season..
My typical color scheme for Christmas decor has always included a neutral pallet of white, gold + silver, but I love that Erin incorporated navy + blush pink! I also love how she displayed the pieces, to allow the rooms to flow together with one cohesive look. The fresh greenery on the mantel, tablescape, as well as our live Christmas Tree, adds another beautiful touch that also smells amazing!
We are so excited to celebrate this holiday season in our new home, and look forward to the beautiful memories we’ll create as a family.
